Bijou Cinema was a popular theater next to Wade Hampton High School. It was remarkable for a kid in the 70’s. Dropped off by your mom for the afternoon, it was glitzy and absorbing. With their new releases, summer movies, great selection of candy...Pippi Longstocking, Jason and the Argonauts, sometimes worse, it was a wonderful theater.
