Mountain Boggan Waterslide
For real? Greenville got a waterslide in the late 70’s. The Mountain Boggan. After a trek up the steps, you found a few concrete flumes to traverse on a thin mat. It was a total blast; Great music on the speakers, a wet & wild ride (occasionally painful), a snack bar, and a game room checked all the boxes in a kid’s head. It didn’t last long, though. The next summer it was sold and became the Super Slide. In the end, the waterslide stood there for years covered in weeds and kudzu. Still… what a riot.
