The Greenville Indoor Racquet Club was certainly a whole new level for tennis in Greenville. Very trendy in the 70’s, tennis court were difficult to find because they were always full. As you struggled to see the new Prince & Rod Laver racquets hanging behind the pro as he re-strung your racquet, a foursome leaves your court and it’s time to play. All the racquetball courts are still full. Today, tennis isn’t the trend it used to be. (They’re turning the empty courts into Pickleball areas) Shadow Oaks was a competitor several years ago.
