Sam Solomon Company was small department store from years ago. It opened in Charleston, SC in 1947 and sold all manner of goods and cosmetics. It expanded even further into catalog showroom, all-in-one store like Brendle’s. In 1982, it was purchased and merged with Service Merchandise. Sam Solomon is much more memorable than any of the others. Had more character, I guess.
