About

Hello everyone. My name is Richard. Thank you for visiting Greenville General.

Here’s a little about my hobbies. I’ve been an outdoor photographer my entire adult life. My favorite subjects have been urban decay and abandoned roadside ruins. After many photo excursions, I found it sad seeing these defunct businesses fading into obscurity… faded advertisements on the side of buildings never to be seen or known again.

Now, most of us have seen t-shirts showing old renown establishments, bowling alleys and dive bars across the U.S. (I never cared much for the fake bar shirts with a silly name sold by a large retailer.) However, I knew that you couldn’t find much of that stuff about Greenville and its interesting past. Maybe a handful of shirts online. So, I wanted to take that idea and revisit those disremembered places. Places that locals still hold dear. Places newcomers have never heard of. Most of these are pretty well known. They are all closed, save a couple. Some of the local ventures here were sealed for good over 50 years ago. Many have ended as an empty building, new parking lot or subdivision. This is an effort to revive and recognize this part of Greenville. It’ll please folks my age and easily show younger generations more about the city they were born in. Greenville is truly a sensational city.

Everything here is focused on Greenville and South Carolina. There are plenty of designs to go through, so enjoy yourself. Find something that means a lot to you. Put it on and show it to your kids. Tell them about nights spent at some of these places. Tell them this is what Greenville was only a few years ago.

These t-shirts were created with respect and reverence. And there’s already have a groovy assortment of designs featuring Swamp Rabbit Trail, local destinations and SC coastal sights.

You’ll also see a section entitled Some Other Shirts. There, you’ll find oddly themed, humorous shirts and other tees. It’s worth a look for shirts unrelated to SC.

Remember- You won’t find items like this anywhere but here! I truly hope you enjoy the collection. Here’s to Greenville and to South Carolina! Cheers!
